When endeavoring to establish a sustainable fashion brand, you quickly discover the immense potential held within every scrap of fabric. This piece embodies a vibrant and texturally rich blend of rescued upholstery weaves alongside handmade weaves crafted by my sister.

While some may perceive me as a hoarder reluctant to discard any fabric, I make concerted efforts to promptly repurpose them. Sharing my habits is important to me because, throughout my deep dive into sustainable fashion business practices, I've realized the significance of instituting lasting change in our approach to business operations and asset management. I meticulously evaluate the waste generated by my production, storing anything reusable with the intention of utilizing it rather than discarding it.

One might also wonder why i chose to make denim vests. Here’s why: it takes 2,000 gallons of water to produce a single pair of jeans, often sourced from impoverished communities. Shockingly, 80% of these fast fashion denim pieces ultimately end up in landfills, despite denim being easily recyclable. 

My contribution to sustainability is modest yet hopefully impactful: each item in the collection is a thrifted fast fashion piece, meticulously repaired, reworked, and two-toned tie-dyed to grant it a new lease on life. Every piece is unique, meticulously handmade by me.
